About me

        My name is Anna Panina, I live in Moscow, Russia, and work at the Institute of Oriental Studies, specializing in Japanese linguistics.
       This is my third website. The two others, about Rintaro's Metropolis (http://www.metropolis.otaku.ru) and about Hayao Miyazaki (http://www.miyazaki.otaku.ru), are Russian only.

       Some remarks concerning 2772 here may sound like deliberate fault-finding. I really do not think the film perfect, but I like it very much. For me 2772 has a kind of personal nostalgic value. It was the first film, back in the early 1990-ies, that made me interested in Japanese animation.
